The song Me cuesta tanto olvidarte, with a duration of 3:34, is from the tenth studio album by Enrique Iglesias, titled Sex and Love. This work, released on March 14, 2014, was edited by Republic Records and featured notable participation from other artists. In its Spanish version, the album includes collaborations with figures such as Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Descemer Bueno, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Anthony Touma, Romeo Santos, Mickael Carreira, Marco Antonio Solís, Yandel, Gente de Zona, Luan Santana, India Martínez, and Sean Paul. Iglesias himself explained that the title Sex and Love arose from listening to the collection of songs, feeling it was a theme everyone could identify with.
Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler, born in Madrid in 1975, began his musical career in 1995 after signing with Fonovisa, a label of the Mexican company Televisa that propelled his first steps in the Spanish-speaking market and among the Latin diaspora in the United States. By 1999, he made the leap to the English-speaking market by joining Interscope, and later also worked with Universal Music Latino. In 2010, he moved to Universal Republic. Throughout his career, he has sold millions of records and songs in both Spanish and English. The album Sex and Love received the Lo Nuestro award in the Pop Album of the Year category.
