The story behind
Soda Stereo recorded Luna roja in 1992, as part of the album Dynamo. The song started with wind effects and then added guitar, drums and bass. On the drums, the rimshot has reverb. The guitar was overdubbed several times, with chorus and distortion processes.
A year later, they released a different version, Luna roja (Soul mix), for the album Zona de promesas. In that version, electronic sounds and a marimba were used. New vocals with effects were also recorded. The song was played live in 1997, during the farewell tour, and appeared in the album El último concierto B.
