Lua Cheia

Marina Sena recorded Lua Cheia in 2025 as part of Coisas Naturais, her third studio album, and although it wasn't the lead single —that spot went to Numa Ilha— the song slipped into the thirteen tracks that make up the album with a presence that doesn't go unnoticed. At just three minutes and seventeen seconds, Lua Cheia doesn't aim to drag on: its compact structure and the rhythmic play that holds it together make it a piece that can be listened to in one go, as if every note were calculated to waste not a single second of attention.

The song reached the public amid the promotion of Coisas Naturais, released in late March of that year under the Sony Music Brasil label, but its origins date back a few months earlier, when Marina Sena was already shaping the sound of this work. What's interesting is that, among the three singles that came from the album —Numa Ilha, Ouro de Tolo, and this one—, Lua Cheia ended up standing out not only for its catchy melody but also because it became one of the songs that earned the album a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Portuguese-Language Pop Album category. It wasn't the only one: Ouro de Tolo also received a nomination for Best Portuguese-Language Song, adding two mentions for the artist in that year's awards.
