The song Loco, taken from the album Sex and Love by Enrique Iglesias, showcases a side of the artist exploring the bachata genre, something he had previously experimented with in Cuando Me Enamoro. Released as the main single in Spanish, it featured a collaboration with Romeo Santos, adding his distinctive style to the production. The recording of Loco was completed with contributions from Descemer Bueno and Lenny Medina in the songwriting, and production by Romeo Santos alongside Carlos Paucar. In addition to the main version, other interpretations were produced, including one with Mexican singer Roberto Tapia and another released on iTunes featuring the voice of Spanish artist India Martínez on December 17, 2013.

The music video for Loco, directed by Yasha Malekzad, premiered on August 26, 2013, and has surpassed 600 million views. It features Enrique Iglesias entering a bar, where he meets Romeo Santos. The scene includes appearances by actress Roselyn Sanchez, who dances under lights, and actor Danny Trejo. The visual narrative evokes a melancholic atmosphere, where both artists watch Sanchez with longing. The video also includes a sound reference to the beginning of Iglesias' 1995 song, Por Amarte.

In terms of chart performance, Loco made a notable debut on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching position 80 and marking his highest-charting Spanish-language song at the time. In Spain, it debuted at number 22. In the Latin market, the song burst onto the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks at position 8 with just three days of sales and airplay, selling nearly 3,000 downloads. It quickly climbed to second place the following week and became Iglesias' 24th number-one hit on this chart. It dominated the Latin Airplay list for nine non-consecutive weeks. On the Tropical Songs chart, it debuted at fourth place as the week's biggest gainer, and on Latin Pop Songs, it also entered at third place, the week's biggest advance. It reached number one on the Latin Pop Songs chart in its third week, adding its 18th number-one hit on this list, and maintained the top spot for 14 weeks, surpassing its previous record with Dímelo. The song received a nomination for Best Tropical Song at the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards.
