The story behind
Las Habladurías Del Mundo, according to DoReSol
In Las Habladurías Del Mundo, Luis Alberto Spinetta immerses us in a reflection on how comments and public exposure can tie us to a kind of dream. The song, which closes the album Artaud, seems to draw a parallel between the force of those "rumors" that circulate and the feeling of being chained to a fantasy. The music accompanies this introspection with a particular atmosphere, inviting the listener to connect with the idea of the gossip that surrounds us.
This track is part of Artaud, the third and final album by Pescado Rabioso, released in 1973. Although the group had already disbanded earlier that year, Spinetta decided to continue using the name for this work. The entire album draws its inspiration from the French poet Antonin Artaud, and its presentation had a curious detail: Spinetta shared it in two morning performances at the Astral Theater, on Avenida Corrientes, accompanied only by his acoustic guitar. Each attendee was given a manifesto titled "Música dura, la suicidada por la sociedad" (Hard music, the one suicided by society). The duration of Las Habladurías Del Mundo is 4:08.
