The story behind
When you dive into The Magic Wheel, you encounter a piece that invites you to feel it from the inside. The music, co-created by Carlos Villavicencio, Charly García, and Fito Páez, has a particular energy that is felt in every corner. The song's duration, 3:56, gives you just enough time to let yourself be carried away by its development. Carlos Narea, Fito Páez, and Nigel Walker worked on the mix of this track, contributing to the final sound having such a recognizable identity.
Fito Páez, born in Rosario in 1963, is a key figure in Argentine music, part of the Trova rosarina, and with a career spanning over three decades. His discography includes about twenty studio albums, as well as live and compilation works, and collaborations with internationally renowned artists. In the early nineties, with albums like El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), he achieved greater projection, selling over a million copies between them. His work has been recognized with several awards, including five Latin Grammy Awards. He won two in 2000, one for his album Abre (1999) and another for the song Al lado del camino. Later, between 2007 and 2009, he added three more Grammys in different categories. The Konex Foundation also distinguished him in 1995 with the Platinum Konex Award as the best rock composer of the decade in Argentina.
