The story behind
When you dive into *La melodía de Dios*, you encounter a piece that goes beyond music. Chano Charpentier himself has shared that the lyrics were born from two very strong emotional blows that happened to him almost simultaneously. On one hand, the news that his biological father, with whom he had no relationship since childhood, was gravely ill. On the other, the end of a romantic relationship with Vicky, a painter. The phrase "con vos es 4 de noviembre cada media hora" alludes to his father's birth date, and he also used it to represent the moment when both traumas intersected. The desperation to stop time and prevent his father's departure is reflected in "Atrasaré las horas." Regarding his ex-girlfriend, he himself described the breakup as the hardest moment of his life, and the "acuarelas todas" (all the watercolors) that fade refer to her works that were in his home.
This song, released as the second single from the album Destinología, became one of Tan Biónica's most representative, helping their music cross borders. The album Destinología was recorded between 2012 and 2013, and was mastered at Sterling Sounds in New York. Its official release was on May 20, 2013, and the live presentation took place at the Luna Park in Buenos Aires on June 28 and 29, marking the beginning of the Tour Destinológico. This tour covered a large part of the Argentine Republic and Uruguay, as well as other countries in Latin America like Paraguay, and culminated on December 7, 2014, with a grand concert at the Hipódromo de Palermo. After its release, *La melodía de Dios* had an excellent reception, reaching the number one spot on the Top 20 in Argentina and remaining for six weeks at the top of the Tus 25 chart in Mexico.
