The story behind
It’s All Too Much, according to DoReSol
With a duration of 6:28, *It’s All Too Much* unfolds as an expansive piece, a sonic journey that invites immersion. Its structure is notable for its gradual development, building layers of sound that evoke a sense of abundance, almost of sensory overload, as its title suggests. The recording was overseen by George Martin as producer, while Dave Siddle was in charge of engineering.
This track is part of the album Yellow Submarine, released in January 1969, which served as the soundtrack for the animated film of the same name. The film premiered in London in June 1968. While Yellow Submarine contains six compositions by The Beatles, two of them, *Yellow Submarine* and *All You Need Is Love*, had already appeared previously. *Yellow Submarine* was originally included on the 1966 album Revolver, and *All You Need Is Love* was a 1967 single that later appeared on the American album Magical Mystery Tour. The rest of the content of Yellow Submarine consisted of orchestral soundtrack recordings for the film, made by George Martin.
