The story behind
The song Inalcanzable, with a duration of 3:35, stands out for its melody and the story it evokes. It was musically conceived by Enrique Iglesias and Roberto Morales. This track is part of the self-titled debut album by Enrique Iglesias, initially released in Spanish by Fonovisa Records on November 21, 1995. Later, in 1996, an Italian version was released. The production of this work was handled by the Spanish composer and producer Rafael Pérez Botija.
This album, which includes Inalcanzable, received significant recognition. At the 39th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 26, 1997, it was honored as the best Latin pop album. Commercially, the album achieved gold certification in Portugal in just five weeks and, globally, sold over 5 million copies. In the United States, it received platinum certification on November 18, 1996. Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler, known artistically as Enrique Iglesias, began his musical career in 1995, signing with Fonovisa, a label of the Mexican company Televisa, which was key to his initial boost in Spanish-speaking markets and among the Latino community in the United States. Later, in 1999, he joined Interscope for his foray into the English-speaking market, and also worked with Universal Music Latino. In 2010, his path continued with Universal Republic.
