The story behind

I Will, according to DoReSol

The song *Still Waters Run Deep* is taken from a self-titled album that was released in 1997, launched in the United Kingdom in March and in the United States in May of that same year. For this work, The Bee Gees had the collaboration of renowned producers such as Russ Titelman, David Foster, Hugh Padgham, and Arif Mardin, who brought different visions to the trio's sound. The context prior to the recording of this album was marked by a change of plans. Originally, a major tour had been planned to promote the 1993 album *Size Isn't Everything*, but this had to be postponed in February 1994 due to arthritis problems affecting Barry Gibb's right back, hand, and knee. After the tour's cancellation, Robin Gibb told the press that they were working on a project of acoustic covers of songs they had written for other artists, which would later be known as *Love Songs*.

The group, formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, already had a solid career and two notable peaks of success: one in the late sixties and early seventies as a pop act, and another in the late seventies as prominent figures of the disco era. Their distinctive sound was based on easily recognizable three-part vocal harmonies. Robin's characteristic vibrato defined their early hits, while Barry's use of R&B-style falsetto became their hallmark in later decades. The Gibb brothers not only wrote their own hits but also created and produced songs for other artists. Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers spent their early years in Chorlton, Manchester, before moving in the late fifties to Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia, where they began their musical career. After achieving their first hit on the Australian charts with *Spicks and Specks*, they returned to the United Kingdom in January 1967, at which point Robert Stigwood began to promote them to a global audience. The Bee Gees' total sales are estimated to exceed 220 million records, placing them among the best-selling musical artists in history.
