The story behind
Led Zeppelin recorded How Many More Times in October 1968 at the Olympic Studios in London. It is the longest song on the album Led Zeppelin, which was released in 1969. It is over eight minutes long and is divided into distinct sections joined by a rhythm that recalls the bolero from a previous song by Jeff Beck called Beck's Bolero. Jimmy Page played guitar, bass and wrote part of the piece, something he also did in Dazed and Confused and In the Evening. The lyrics speak of love, children and a complicated relationship, with repeated phrases that add intensity. The song was recorded with the label Atlantic and was produced by Jimmy Page himself. ↓ Skip to chords
