Claudie Fritsch-Mentrop, known artistically as Desireless, was born on December 25, 1952. Before dedicating herself to music, she explored fashion and made several trips to India in 1980. Her singing career began after meeting producer Jean-Michel Rivat in 1984 and, a year later, François Tabah, with whom she would live for 18 years. In 1989, after releasing singles under the name Air, the track Voyage Voyage solidified her identity as Desireless, resonating strongly in clubs and reaching high chart positions, even in Russia. The album François, released in 1990, marked the beginning of her main recording career, although motherhood led her to a temporary retirement. Subsequently, in 1992, she released I Love You, an album where she explored various styles and actively participated in songwriting.
