The song Hard to Make a Stand by Sheryl Crow was recorded at Sunset Sound Factory in Los Angeles, but its best-known version is not a studio recording: the official video shows the artist performing it live in London, directed by Matthew Amos. Later, that same take was included in the DVD Wildflower Tour, Live from New York, released in 2006. The track, released as a single in 1997, only reached Europe, Canada, Japan and South Africa, but within those markets it sparked conversation due to its lyrics, which address abortion without hesitation.
