The story behind
Radiohead recorded "Fitter Happier" in 1995 and 1996, as part of the album OK Computer. The song is based on sampled sounds and ambient noise, with the lyrics read by a voice synthesizer. Yorke described it as a list of 90s advertisements, something that left him very concerned. The track lasts just over a minute and a half, but has a strange and direct sound. They recorded it in several studios, including one in Didcot, England. It's a song that doesn't sound like what you usually hear, but that's exactly what makes it special. ↓ Skip to chords
