The story behind
When you dive into *Finally Found You*, you're met with a vibrant energy that invites you to move. The song, released on September 20, 2012, presents itself as a dance-pop track with touches of electro house, and its lyrics narrate the moment someone finds the person of their life in a club, with the firm intention of not letting them go. The production, handled by soFLY & Nius, incorporates bright synthesizers that give it that euphoric feel, and according to some comments, it evokes the same dance-pop vibe of the artist's previous hits like *I Like It* or *Dirty Dancer*. An alternative version, intended for the Latin market, includes the participation of rapper Daddy Yankee.
This track emerged during a transitional period for Enrique Iglesias. Following the success of his album *Euphoria* in 2010, a reissue was planned with a single called *I Like How It Feels* in 2011, but that project was canceled. Then, in early 2012, he participated in a remix with Pitbull and Afrojack. It was in August of that year that Iglesias presented *Finally Found You*, which was available for download in the United States in late September and in the United Kingdom in December. The artist himself commented that the song made him "feel like a kid again." The composition featured the collaboration of several artists, including Jacob Luttrell and Fabian Lenssen, in addition to rapper Sammy Adams, who lends his voice to one of the versions. Commercially, the song performed well, reaching the top twenty in Canada and the top forty in countries like Australia and Spain, in addition to topping the Dance Club Songs chart.
