The story behind

The Fanfarria del Cabrío, with its 5 minutes and 9 seconds duration, immerses us in a sonic proposal that departs from the conventional. The piece, part of the album Luzbelito by Patricio Rey, was gestated in a more extensive production process than previous works, involving a greater number of recording studios. Fragments of this work were recorded in locations such as Be Bop in San Pablo, New River in Fort Lauderdale, and El Pie in Buenos Aires.

Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, led by Carlos Alberto Indio Solari and Skay Beilinson, built a unique identity in Argentine rock. Their path was characterized by a fierce independence from the music industry, avoiding the support of the media and relying on word-of-mouth promotion for their performances. This autonomy was reflected in a distinctive musical aesthetic, marked by creative instrumentals, the constant presence of a leading guitar with riffs and solos, and the incorporation of various instruments such as saxophone, violin, trumpet, piano, and percussion. The lyrics, loaded with metaphors, and a vanguard stage production, completed a countercultural and mystical universe. The album Luzbelito, released in July 1996, is a conceptual record that explores the ambiguities of the human condition through the figure of a supposed son of the devil.
