The story behind
El diablo, according to DoReSol
When Aterciopelados released El Dorado in 1995, they already had a clear vision of their sound, but this album was the one that truly projected them. Recorded at Audiovisión studios in Bogotá, Colombia, with production by Federico López, the record became a turning point. The song El diablo, with its 4 minutes and 32 seconds of duration, is a good example of the energy this work conveyed.
This album, and particularly songs like Bolero Falaz, captured the attention of specialized critics. In fact, Al Borde magazine included it in its list of the 250 most important rock albums in Iberoamérica in 2006, a significant recognition that highlighted its impact on Spanish-language music.
