The story behind

The song *E chiove (And It Rains)*, with its duration of 4 minutes and 24 seconds, is a piece taken from the album *Romanza*. This work, released internationally in 1997, marked a turning point for Andrea Bocelli. Although it is a compilation of his two previous pop albums, *Il mare calmo della sera* (1994) and *Bocelli* (1995), *Romanza* became his most commercially successful work. It managed to climb to the top of the charts throughout Europe and Latin America, selling over 20 million copies and positioning itself as the best-selling Italian and predominantly non-English album of all time, as well as being one of the most successful worldwide. The production of *E chiove* featured the collaboration of Joe Amoruso and Mauro Malavasi on arrangements, while the mixing was handled by Mauro Malavasi and Ignazio Orlando. The overall production of the project fell to Stefano Grillini, Mauro Malavasi, and Michele Torpedine. Bocelli, born in 1958, is an Italian tenor known for his ability to fuse classical music with pop. After losing his sight at the age of twelve, his career took off when he won the Newcomers section at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994. Since then, he has released numerous albums, establishing himself as a benchmark in classical crossover music, bringing classical repertoire to international audiences.
