The story behind
Dieci ragazze, according to DoReSol
Lucio Battisti released in 1969 a song called Dieci ragazze. At first, the single was going to have the songs in a different order, because the author and lyricist thought Dieci ragazze was the most suitable to release. But later, due to something that happened with a television program, it was decided to put Acqua azzurra, acqua chiara first. The song has a fast rhythm and a melody that sticks in your head. It was very popular at that time, won a festival and was heard a lot. The text talks about a man trying to forget a woman who doesn't love him, surrounding himself with ten girls. But in the end, although he has one by day and another by night, he realizes he still feels a lot for her.
The lyrics also contain phrases that show a way of seeing love closer to the body than to feeling. The song was recorded in mono at first, but later came out in stereo version. It was included in an album called Emozioni, and it is still listened to today.
