The story behind
When Fito Páez was working on his second album, titled Giros, he sought to consolidate his path after a more experimental first stage. This album, released in 1985, is seen by many as the true starting point of his career, surpassing even his previous work, Del 63, in terms of arrangement quality and lyrical depth. The music in Giros ventures through diverse styles: the title track of the album approaches tango, while "Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón" has a chacarera feel, and "DLG" evokes a baguala. The lyrics, on the other hand, often address social reality, with themes like "Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón" and "11 y 6" that became very representative.
The piece "Decisiones apresuradas", with a duration of 2 minutes and 42 seconds, is part of this project. Rodolfo Fito Páez, born in 1963 in Rosario, is a key figure of the Trova rosarina and one of the benchmarks of rock in Argentina. His career, which spans over three decades, includes about twenty studio albums and numerous collaborations. In the early nineties, his international projection was solidified with albums like El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), which achieved considerable commercial success. Throughout his career, he has been honored with multiple awards, including five Latin Grammy Awards and the Premio Konex de Platino in 1995 as the best rock composer of the decade in Argentina.
