The story behind

Giros, according to DoReSol

When Fito Páez released Giros in 1985, he not only presented his second album, but many critics saw it as the true beginning of his path as a singer-songwriter. It is said that this album surpassed its predecessor, Del 63, with more polished arrangements, a standout sound, and lyrics that explored deeper themes. The title track, Giros, has a vibe reminiscent of tango, while Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón leans towards the chacarera rhythm, and DLG evokes a baguala melody. Overall, the album touches on social issues in several of its themes.

Rodolfo Fito Páez was born in Rosario in 1963 and is a key figure of the Trova rosarina and Argentine rock. His career, spanning over three decades, includes 20 studio albums and an international reach that took off in the early nineties with albums like El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), which sold over a million copies combined. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with several awards, including five Latin Grammy Awards. He won two in 2000, one for his album Abre (1999) and another for the song Al lado del camino. Between 2007 and 2009, he obtained three more Grammy Awards in different categories. Additionally, in 1995, the Konex Foundation awarded him the Konex Platinum Award as the best rock composer of the decade in Argentina. The album Giros has a duration of 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
