This album, Second Toughest in the Infants, has a curious origin for its title. It comes from an anecdote featuring Rick Smith's nephew, Simon Prosser, who was six years old at the time. When asked about his performance in primary school, an educational stage for children between four and seven years old in the United Kingdom, the little one responded with that phrase. The album also spawned singles like "Pearl's Girl", and in later reissues, "Born Slippy .NUXX", one of the duo's most recognized compositions, was included. The recording of this material, where Rick Smith handled the engineering and Underworld took on production, was done with a clear intention to expand their sonic palette. The album was remastered and re-released on November 20, 2015, featuring expanded editions.
