The story behind
The musical piece *Juanita / Kiteless / To Dream of Love* by Underworld is a sonic exploration that spans over sixteen minutes. In it, the British group expands its musical palette, fusing intense rhythms with melodies that evoke vast spaces. The recording, which featured Rick Smith as engineer and Underworld on production, is an example of how the band developed its characteristic style, marked by the combination of powerful beats and enveloping atmospheres.
This extensive track is part of the album *Second Toughest in the Infants*, the band's fourth studio work and the second with the lineup that included Darren Emerson. The album's title, in fact, comes from a family anecdote: Rick Smith's six-year-old nephew, Simon Prosser, made a comment about his progress in kindergarten that inspired the name. The record also spawned singles like *Pearl's Girl* and, in later editions, included the well-known *Born Slippy .NUXX*. The album was reissued on November 20, 2015, in expanded versions.
