The story behind
Can’t Carry On, according to DoReSol
The song *Can’t Carry On* by Crowded House has a duration of 3 minutes and 39 seconds. This musical piece emerged at a time of reconfiguration for Neil Finn and Paul Hester. After the dissolution of Split Enz in 1984, both musicians decided to join forces to bring a new project to life. It was in this context that Nick Seymour approached Finn, expressing his desire to join the band that was being formed. Initially, the group was known as "The Mullanes" and considered the incorporation of guitarist Craig Hooper, who had previously been part of The Reels.
The history of Crowded House dates back to 1986, the year they released their self-titled debut album under the Capitol Records label. One of their most recognized songs would emerge from this work. The band's career extended until 1996, but the connection between its members endured. In 2006, Neil Finn and Nick Seymour reunited to work on a solo project by Finn. The creative chemistry they shared propelled them to revive the idea of Crowded House, adding Mark Hart on guitar and piano. To replace the late Paul Hester, Matt Sherrod joined on drums. This rebirth culminated in 2007 with the release of the album *Time on Earth* and a subsequent world tour.
