The story behind

Soda Stereo recorded it at the Supersónico Studio in Buenos Aires during 1992, but Camaleón was not originally intended as a standout track. It appears on the band's sixth album, Dynamo, released on cassette on October 26 of that year by Sony Music Latin. By the time it came out, the public had already processed the impact of Canción Animal, so the initial reception was more subdued. However, the album marked a shift in their sound: less raw than their previous works, yet with layers that gradually unfold.
