The song Cachito, created by the Mexican composer Consuelo Velázquez in 1957, holds a story that goes from family tenderness to an unexpected ban. Consuelo Velázquez wrote the music and lyrics dedicating it to her second son, Mariano Rivera Velázquez, whom she had with Mariano Rivera Conde. The title, which evokes a "little piece of me" or "my little thing," reflects that maternal bond.
