The story behind
The song Beautiful, which unites the voices of Enrique Iglesias and Kylie Minogue, has an interesting creation story. It was conceived by Iglesias along with Mark Taylor, Alex Smith, and Samuel Preston. Production was handled by Taylor and Smith, who worked at Metrophonic Studios in London, England, and also at South Point Productions in Miami, FL. This collaboration was released as a promotional single in Australia and New Zealand on March 14, 2014. To promote the track, an official video was uploaded to YouTube on Kylie Minogue's channel on July 31, 2014.
As part of the promotion campaign for Minogue's album Kiss Me Once, she performed Beautiful solo at various events. These include the iTunes Festival, a secret iHeartRadio concert, the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and a special performance at the G‑A‑Y nightclub in London. She later included the song in the setlist for her Kiss Me Once Tour.
