The story behind
Aquí & ahora (Los primeros tres minutos), according to DoReSol
When Gustavo Cerati embarked on the creation of Bocanada, his second solo work after the end of Soda Stereo, he already had the experience of Amor amarillo from 1993. However, this new project, released in 1999, marked a turning point, exploring sounds closer to electronic music. The album's production fell to him, and a clear intention to build a distinctive sound is perceived. The track Aquí & ahora (Los primeros tres minutos), with a duration of 3 minutes and 54 seconds, immerses itself in that electronic atmosphere that defines Bocanada. This album, released under the BMG Ariola label, emerged at a time when Cerati had already gone through the dissolution of Soda Stereo, whose last album was Sueño Stereo in 1995.
The conception of Bocanada, which he himself came to consider his "first solo album" in terms of identity, draws from those electronic influences he sought to capture.
