The story behind

Apocalypshit, according to DoReSol

When one sets out to dismantle Apocalypshit, the song that shares its name with the album by Molotov, they encounter a sound that deviates from the predictable. It's not just another rock track; here there's a mix of styles ranging from alternative metal to Spanish rock, demonstrating a versatility that invites exploration. The production, on this occasion, was handled by Mario Caldato Jr., who already had experience working with Beastie Boys on their album Hello Nasty, and also featured the participation of Gustavo Santaolalla, who had previously collaborated with the band on their earlier work.

This album, which includes Apocalypshit, saw the light of day on September 14, 1999, under the label Universal Music Group. Upon its release, it quickly made its mark, reaching number 32 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Additionally, it had a presence on the Spanish charts, appearing one week after its release. The track's duration is 4 minutes and 7 seconds, a length that allows for the development of the sonic proposal that characterizes Molotov at this stage.
