The story behind
Ambar violeta, according to DoReSol
The song Ámbar violeta, with its duration of 2 minutes and 23 seconds, presents itself as a compact yet evocative piece within the work of Rodolfo Fito Páez. Its title itself suggests a vivid, almost pictorial image, inviting attentive listening.
Born in Rosario, Fito Páez, part of the Trova rosarina, has built a solid and extensive career in Argentine rock. After an initial stage of critical recognition, his international projection was consolidated in the early nineties with albums such as El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), which achieved significant sales. Throughout his career, he has accumulated distinctions, including several Latin Grammy Awards. In 1995, the Konex Foundation awarded him the Platinum Konex Award as the rock composer of the decade in Argentina, and he subsequently received other recognitions from the same foundation in years such as 2005, 2007, and 2009.
