The story behind
A las piedras de Belén, according to DoReSol
The song A las piedras de Belén, born from the creative mind of Fito Páez, invites us on a sonic journey with a duration of 3 minutes and 38 seconds. The music, co-written by Fito Páez and Vida, unfolds with a particular sensitivity that invites reflection.
Rodolfo Fito Páez, originally from Rosario and a prominent figure of the Trova rosarina, has forged a solid career since 1963. His trajectory, spanning over three decades, has positioned him as a benchmark of Argentine rock, also exploring facets as a filmmaker and screenwriter. After an initial phase that captured critical attention, his international projection consolidated in the early nineties with releases such as El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), albums that jointly sold over a million copies. Throughout his career, he has received multiple awards, including five Latin Grammy Awards. In the year 2000, he obtained two of these awards: one for "best male rock singer" for his album Abre (1999) and another for Al lado del camino as best rock song. Subsequently, between 2007 and 2009, he added three more Grammy Awards in different categories. The Konex Foundation also recognized his work, awarding him in 1995 the Konex Platinum Award as "best rock composer of the decade in Argentina".
