The song ¿Ahora quién?, one of the tracks on the album Amar sin mentiras, is notable for having reached the number one spot on the Hot Latin Tracks chart during 2004. This album, released in June 2004 by Sony Discos and Columbia Records, marked an interesting point in Marc Anthony's career. It was his fifth Spanish-language work and the first in which he explored a more pop sound, under the production of Colombian singer Estéfano. Additionally, this production featured the vocal participation of Jennifer López. The impact of Amar sin mentiras was such that, in February 2005, it received the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

Marc Anthony, whose real name is Marco Antonio Muñiz Ruiz Rivera, was born in New York in 1968 and has Puerto Rican roots. His musical career is very varied, encompassing genres such as salsa, bolero, ballad, and pop. Before establishing himself in the Latin world, he began his journey in hip hop with the duo Little Louie & Marc Anthony, achieving a number one hit on the US charts in 1991. Subsequently, he was signed by Ralph Mercado for his RMM label, where he began singing salsa, achieving sustained success. His influence extended to Spain, where he earned gold records, becoming one of the first Latin salsa artists to do so. A significant milestone in his career was his participation in the play The Capeman, by Paul Simon, who chose him from many applicants.
