Julieta Venegas Percevault, born in Long Beach, California, in 1970, is a prominent figure in Latin music. With Mexican roots, she has established herself as a songwriter, singer, and musician. Before starting her solo career in 1996, she was part of the band Tijuana No!, where she co-wrote their hit "Pobre de Ti". Her solo journey began in Mexico City, with the support of Café Tacuba. Her first album, Aquí (1997), and its successor, Bueninvento (2000), both produced by Gustavo Santaolalla, received praise in the Mexican rock scene. The album Sí (2003) marked a turning point, catapulting her to fame in Latin America and Spain, and adding several awards to her career. With Limón y sal, under the Sony & BMG label, Julieta Venegas expanded her reach in Latin America and Europe, consolidating her recognition.
