A Hard Day’s Night

The story behind

The Beatles recorded A Hard Day’s Night in 1964, right when rock was starting to change. It was their first album where all the songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, without help from others. The song that gives the album its name has a guitar chord that's noticeable at the beginning, as if it's greeting you. It also includes Can't Buy Me Love, which was a hit. The album was released in July, but in the United States they launched it earlier, with some different songs. The American version included things from George Martin, the producer. All of that was in 1964, before rock became what it is today.
