Bob Marley

Bob Marley is a name that resonates strongly in the world of music, especially in the reggae genre, where he is considered a pioneer. His voice and songwriting style are unmistakable, and his ability to convey deep messages of spirituality and social struggle through his songs has made him a global icon. Born in Jamaica on February 6, 1945, Marley not only popularized Jamaican music worldwide but also became a symbol of Rastafari culture, infusing his work with a strong spiritual charge and a defense of social justice. His musical career began in 1963 with the formation of the band Teenagers, which later evolved into The Wailers.

With them, he released his first album, The Wailing Wailers, in 1965, which included the single "One Love." This track helped establish the band in the reggae scene and laid the groundwork for their future success. As the 1970s progressed, Marley and his group began experimenting with a more rhythmic sound, coinciding with his conversion to Rastafarianism. This change was reflected in their album The Best of The Wailers, released in 1971, which marked a turning point in his career. The true international breakthrough for Marley came after signing with Island Records and releasing albums such as Catch a Fire and Burnin' in 1973.
