Viveza

Fernando Cabrera released Viveza in 2002. The album has fifteen tracks, all different, ranging from the personal to the most everyday. In the first, Querido amigo, that connection is felt between people who understand each other without speaking. Then comes Viveza, the title, which seems like a cry for freedom, to live with strength.

About the album

Viveza, according to DoReSol

Cabrera's voice moves between the near and the far, as if telling stories that happened to him, but that also happen to many people. In Los Eduardos, for example, a relationship that breaks up is spoken about, but not with drama, rather with a calm that almost hurts. And in Resurrección, that energy of someone who gets up after a blow, without asking for forgiveness, just with the certainty that they will keep going.

The album is not just songs, it's a space where you live, feel, and go through things. Each track has its weight, its rhythm, its way of making the listener stay a little longer. It's not a record you listen to once, but one you let play again and again, because every time you put it on, it feels like someone who really lives it is telling you.
