About the album

Reckless, according to DoReSol

Among the most notable singles are "Run to You", "Somebody", and "Heaven", all of which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Run to You", released as the lead single, topped the Billboard Top Rock Tracks and remained in that position for four weeks. "Heaven", originally written for the soundtrack of the film A Night in Heaven, became the album's most successful single, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1985.

Recording for the album spanned from March to August 1984. During this process, Adams and Vallance made significant adjustments to the songs, driven by the pursuit of a more powerful sound. After receiving feedback from his manager, Bruce Allen, about the lack of "rock" in the album, they decided to re-record "One Night Love Affair" and "Summer of '69", as well as compose "Kids Wanna Rock". This collaborative approach and attention to detail led Reckless to become one of the most iconic albums of its time, cementing Adams as a leading figure in 1980s rock music.
