The story behind
You’re Crazy, according to DoReSol
You’re Crazy sounds like garage rock with one foot in punk and the other in hard rock. The track builds with a rhythm that seems to accelerate on its own, as if the band couldn’t contain the energy. The guitar screeches with gusto but never loses clarity, and the drums hit exactly where needed to keep everything breathing. It’s not a long song, but in those three minutes and seventeen seconds, nothing is wasted or missing.
They recorded it in quick sessions with equipment that wasn’t the best in town, but that didn’t matter. The Producer and Engineer Mike Clink made sure the sound didn’t get lost in the process, while Michael Barbiero and Steve Thompson added just the right polish in the mix. They weren’t aiming for studio perfection; they wanted to capture the urgency of a moment when the band didn’t yet know they were making history.
