The story behind
The Temptations recorded What’s So Good About Goodbye in 1965, as part of an album that was called The Temptations Sing Smokey. The song is one of those that have that voice that gets into your soul, as if it were telling you something you already knew but had never heard before. It was written by Smokey Robinson, and they recorded it with a group that already had its own style, blending what came from the previous years with something more personal. The lead vocals were performed by Eddie Kendricks, and the song became popular, like so many others that came out of that album. The duration is two minutes and thirty-nine seconds, and it remains one of those that stay in your head. ↓ Skip to chordsVerse 1
