The story behind
Tu Reputación - New Version, according to DoReSol
When you dive into Tu Reputación - New Version, you encounter an interpretation that puts a new spin on a familiar theme. This version, which lasts 4 minutes and 19 seconds, is part of Quién Dijo Ayer, a compilation album released in 2007 by Sony Music. What's interesting about this project is that Arjona decided to revisit his past hits, giving them a new feel through different musical styles and adding collaborations with other artists. In this case, the production featured the participation of Tommy Torres, Dan Warner, and Lee Levin, in addition to Ricardo Arjona himself. It was also the singer's last work with Sony before moving to Warner Music Group.
Ricardo Arjona Morales, born in Jocotenango, Guatemala, in 1964, is a singer-songwriter with a career spanning genres such as ballad, Latin pop, rock, and even more recent fusions. Known for his lyrics that explore themes from love to complex social issues like immigration or religion, his work has resonated throughout Latin America. By 2011, he had already released thirteen studio albums and several compilations. The impact of his music was reflected in major charts: four of his albums reached the top spot on the Billboard Top Latin Albums in the United States, and ten did the same in Argentina. As for singles, four reached the number one position on the Billboard Top Latin Songs.
