The story behind

In *This Must Be Love*, Phil Collins explores the complexities of affection with a duration of 3:56. The piece was recorded with the collaboration of engineers such as Nick Launay and Hugh Padgham, who also participated in the production alongside Collins himself. Philip David Charles Collins, born in Chiswick, England, in 1951, established himself as a prominent figure in rock music. Before his solo career, he was the lead singer and drummer for the band Genesis between 1971 and 1996, taking on the vocal role after the departure of Peter Gabriel in 1975. His first solo album, Face Value, was released in 1981 by Virgin in the UK and Ireland, and by Atlantic internationally. This album contained his first major hit, In the Air Tonight, whose somber tone is said to have been influenced by the end of his marriage to his first wife, Andrea. Collins' compositions often address personal themes, heartbreak, and substance use. By 2002, his solo career sales had surpassed 150 million records worldwide, according to data from Atlantic Records. His interest in music began at an early age, when he received a toy drum kit for Christmas, which prompted him to develop his own method of musical learning, as he received no formal instruction in conventional notation. His training extended to acting, participating in productions such as Oliver!, The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
