The story behind
The Narrow Way - Part 1; Part 2; Part 3, according to DoReSol
The composition *Sysyphus* unfolds in four parts, each one a space for the individual exploration of the members of Pink Floyd within the double album Ummagumma. This work, released in the United Kingdom in 1969, stands out for its structure: one disc recorded live and another dedicated to pieces created by each musician separately. The studio section, where *Sysyphus* is found, allows each member to showcase their compositional facet, moving away from the group sound to delve into more personal territories.
The band, which evolved from psychedelic rock to progressive rock, was characterized by its philosophical-tinged lyrics and constant sonic experimentation. Pink Floyd, originating from the United Kingdom, began its journey in London's underground scene in the late sixties. Initially, the lineup included Syd Barrett as leader and main composer. After his departure in 1968, due to personal issues, David Gilmour joined the group, solidifying the lineup that would mark a period of great success. It was Roger Waters who, gradually, became the dominant creative force during the first half of the seventies.
