That year, Bunny Wailer, one of the last original members of The Wailers, released his album Blackheart Man, which included a track called Bide Up. It is no coincidence that the chorus ("The master has come back"), fragments of the lyrics, and the overall atmosphere of Bide Up reappear in Damian's version.
