The story behind
When you encounter *Solo noi*, you come across a piece that, despite not having convinced critics at the time, resonated worldwide. It was in 1980 that Toto Cutugno presented this song, marking his first solo step at the Sanremo Festival, after having participated with the group Albatros. Of the thirteen times he appeared at the festival, this was his only victory. The track, with a duration of 4 minutes and 5 seconds, was released on February 7, 1980, under the Carosello label, with Cristiano Minellono as producer and Toto Cutugno as composer.
The interesting thing about *Solo noi* is how it transcended borders, being adapted into multiple languages such as French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Flamenco. Artists of various nationalities dared to perform it, including Michèle Torr, Nino de Angelo, Willy Sommers, Peter Orloff, and Diana Gurtskaya. Despite divided opinions from critics, the song achieved great international impact, reaching number one in Argentina. The B-side of this single included the song *Liberi*.
