The story behind

Ruido, according to DoReSol

The song Ruido, with a duration of 4:23, emerges from the ninth studio album by Joaquín Sabina, titled Esta boca es mía, released in 1994. This work came two years after Física y química and, while it did not reach the same level of mass popularity as its predecessor, it did achieve good sales and generated themes highly valued by critics. For this mid-90s period, Sabina was in a moment of both personal and professional maturity, facing the challenge of creating an album that would match or surpass the previous one. As was customary, the singer-songwriter once again collaborated with his trusted partners, Pancho Varona and Antonio García de Diego, who handled most of the arrangements.

Joaquín Ramón Martínez Sabina, born in Úbeda, Jaén, in 1949, is a well-established figure in the world of singer-songwriter music and poetry in Spanish-speaking countries. His discography includes fourteen studio albums, four live recordings, and three compilations, as well as collaborations with various artists. He has also composed for others, such as Ana Belén or Miguel Ríos. His live albums, like La mandrágora (1981) alongside Javier Krahe and Alberto Pérez, or Joaquín Sabina y Viceversa en directo (1986) with the band Viceversa, document significant performances. In his literary facet, he has published nine books, many of which collect song lyrics or poems that previously appeared in the magazine Interviú. A relevant event in his career was a mild stroke in 2001, from which he recovered without physical sequelae, but which marked a turning point in his outlook on life, leading him into a period of depression and time away from the stage. After overcoming this phase, he released Dímelo en la calle (2002) and later Alivio de luto (2005). His most recent solo album to date is Vinagre y rosas, released in 2009, which achieved notable commercial success.
