The story behind
Esta noche contigo, according to DoReSol
The song *Esta noche contigo* has a duration of 4 minutes and 43 seconds. It is part of the ninth studio album by the Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina, titled Esta Boca es Mía, which was released in 1994. This record work came out two years after his previous production, Física y química. Although Esta Boca es Mía did not achieve the same commercial impact as its predecessor, it did achieve good sales and generated resonant songs, in addition to receiving positive reviews.
In that stage of the mid-90s, Sabina was at a moment of maturity, both personally and professionally. The challenge was to create an album that would live up to or surpass Física y química. To achieve this, the artist collaborated again with his usual partners, Pancho Varona and Antonio García de Diego, who were responsible for most of the arrangements. Joaquín Ramón Martínez Sabina was born in Úbeda, Jaén, in 1949. Throughout his career, he has released fourteen studio albums, four live albums, and three compilations, in addition to having shared duets and collaborations with other artists. He has also composed for other performers such as Ana Belén or Miguel Ríos. In his literary facet, he has published nine books with collections of his lyrics and poems, some of them previously published in the magazine Interviú. In 2001, a mild cerebral infarction put him in danger, but he recovered without physical sequelae. This event marked a before and after in his way of seeing life, leading him to a deep depression and a temporary retirement from the stage. After overcoming this setback, he released Dímelo en la calle in 2002, followed by Alivio de luto in 2005. His latest solo album, Vinagre y rosas, was released on November 17, 2009, and sold 200,000 copies in its first month.
