The story behind
The song *Por culpa tuya* lasts 2 minutes and 40 seconds, a duration that condenses the power and beauty of a voice that stood out in national pop. Born as Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis in 1944, this Valencian singer, known as Nino Bravo, developed a style that combined the most classical interpretation with the trends of pop music from the late sixties and early seventies. His way of singing, with a voice distinguished by its power and quality, captivated a wide audience, setting him apart from many other artists of his time.
From a very young age, he grew up in Valencia, specifically in the Sagunto neighborhood. He had his first encounters with light music by being part of groups like Los Hispánicos and Los Superson, with whom he performed at events and summer venues throughout the Valencian Community. In March 1969, he had a performance at the Teatro Principal in Valencia, where he interpreted covers of popular hits, influenced by artists such as Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. These performances earned him good reviews and led him to sign a record deal. His second studio album, also titled Nino Bravo, was released in 1971 by the Polydor Records label, under the direction and production of José Luis Torregrosa, and contained songs like *Puerta de amor* and *Amanecer*.
