The story behind
Perdona, according to DoReSol
When we hear Perdona, we encounter a piece that, with its 3 minutes and 33 seconds, encapsulates the vocal power and emotiveness that characterized Nino Bravo. Born as Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis in Ayelo de Malferit, Valencia, in 1944, this singer showed a special connection with music from a very young age. His voice, described as one of the most outstanding of Spanish pop in the late sixties and early seventies, moved between classical interpretation and the pop trends of his time, captivating a wide audience.
Before achieving fame, Nino Bravo took his first steps in the music world as part of groups like Los Hispánicos and Los Superson. It was in March 1969, during his performance at the Teatro Principal in Valencia, where his talent began to be recognized. There he presented a repertoire that included covers of popular hits, influenced by artists like Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. This momentum led him to sign a record deal, laying the groundwork for his career. The album Nino Bravo, released in 1971 by the Polydor Records label, under the production of José Luis Torregrosa, included songs that resonated strongly, such as Puerta de amor and Amanecer, demonstrating the quality of his musical proposal.
