The story behind
The song Our Love (Don’t Throw It All Away), with a duration of 3:52, is part of a live recording by the Bee Gees captured at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This concert, which took place on November 14, 1997, was documented on an album and an audiovisual format. Although the CD version edited some pieces, the complete recording can be found in the video material. In 1999, a reissue expanded the content with an additional CD that included the omitted songs. The cover image of this release, both on CD and DVD, shows the band recreating an iconic pose from the Saturday Night Fever era. Later, in 2013, Eagle Rock Entertainment released a Blu-ray version, improving the audio quality compared to the DVD, although the visual enhancement was more subtle.
This live album covers songs that represent the musical career of the Bee Gees over several decades, from the sixties to the nineties. Brothers Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, and Maurice Gibb, who founded the group in 1958, are the producers of this recording. The trio, originally from the Isle of Man and with roots in England, developed their musical career first in Australia and then returned to the United Kingdom in 1967, where their producer Robert Stigwood began to give them international projection. Their sound was characterized by tight vocal harmonies, with Robin's distinctive vibrato in their early days and the use of Barry's falsetto, which became his trademark. The brothers not only created their own hits but also wrote and produced for other artists.
