The story behind

My Baby Does Me, according to DoReSol

The song My Baby Does Me, with its duration of 3:23, emerged as a proposal by Freddie Mercury and John Deacon to offer a breather in the album The Miracle. Both musicians expressed in a 1989 interview that the intention was to create a simpler piece, something "very easy, very listenable", which contrasted with the complexity of other compositions. Mercury recalled having sought something "clearer, not too complicated". On this track, Roger Taylor does not participate directly, as the synthesized drum parts were programmed by producer David Richards. The recording involved engineers such as Andrew Bradfield, John Brough, Angelique Cooper, Claude Frider, Andy Mason, David Richards, and Justin Shirley-Smith, under the production of Queen and David Richards.

The album The Miracle, released in May 1989 by Parlophone and Capitol Records, was created during a particular period for the band. Recording began in January 1988 and lasted a full year. This thirteenth studio album by the British band had a provisional title of The Invisible Men, but was changed to The Miracle just three weeks before its release, according to Roger Taylor. It was the last album by Queen to feature a photograph of all four members on its cover. The work reached the top position on the charts in United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, and Switzerland, and ranked at number 24 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums in United States.
